Speak Your Mind - October 2021

The Learning Department were delighted to bring back our annual Sixth Form Debate which was launched this year as a virtual event with an environmental theme 'The food on your plate – who pays the price?'

The subject engaged students in debate about the environmental impact of food production and the often-conflicting needs of the population both at home and globally.

The debate was chaired by Quintin McKellar (Vice Chancellor of the University of Hertfordshire), and our diverse range of guest speakers included Patrick Holden (Chief Executive of the Sustainable Food Trust), Dr Dana McGregor (Rothamsted Research) and Joseph Powell (Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge University).

As the event was recorded you are able to view this below.
