Choral Eucharist on the Seventh Sunday after Trinity - Sunday 14 July, 11.15am

The Precentor preaches at Andrew Lucas's last Choral Eucharist conducting the Cathedral Choir, but it is also the last Choral Eucharist for 3 of our boy choristers on this valediction weekend. The mass is Mozart's Coronation Mass, and the communion motet is Ave Verum Corpus, also by Mozart.

Sung Eucharist on the Sixth Sunday after Trinity - Sunday 7 July, 10am

The Dean preaches at this special Sung Eucharist on the Sixth Sunday after Trinity, and the penultimate Sunday of Master of The Music Andrew Lucas conducting the Cathedral Choir. The mass is to the setting Missa Brevis by Jonathan Dove, and the motet is Very Bread, Good Shepherd by Marchant.

Ordination of Deacons - Sunday 30 June, 2pm

The Cathedral Girls Choir sing at this happy service for the ordination of Deacons. The mass is sung to the setting 'The Truro Eucharist' by Briggs, and the motets are Listen, Sweet Dove by Ives and Tantum Ergo by Vierne.

Fr Calum, our Youth Chaplain, preaches at this service on the Fifth Sunday after Trinity. The Parish singers sing the mass to a setting by Inwood and the communion motet Set Me As A Seal by Benedict Williams.

Ordination of Priests - Saturday 29 June, 2pm

On this Feast of Saints Peter and Paul we hold the service for the Ordination of Priests. The service is sung by the Cathedral Girls Choir and lay clerks,  singing a setting of the mass by Briggs and the motets Sacerdotes Domini by Byrd, and Listen, Sweet Dove by Ives.

Pilgrimage Eucharist - Saturday 22 June, 12 noon

Join us for our Festival Eucharist on St Alban's Day, with the preacher the Right Revd Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani, the Bishop of Chelmsford. The Cathedral Girls Choir sing the mass the setting 'he Canterbury Mass by Philip Moore, and the motets Tantum Ergo by Vierne and I will wash my hands innocency by Bairstow. And of course the usual Albantide hymns!

Choral Matins on the Third Sunday After Trinity - Sunday 16 June, 11.15am

The Canon Chancellor, Fr Kevin, preaches at Choral Matins on the Third Sunday after Trinity. The Canticles are Britten's Te Deum in E, and a setting of the Jubilate by Philip Moore; the Anthem is The Cherubic Hymn by Gretchaninoff, all sung by the Cathedral Choir.

Choral Eucharist on the Second Sunday After Trinity - Sunday 9 June, 11.15am

The Precentor, the Revd Vanessa Jefferson, preaches at Choral Eucharist on the Second Sunday after Trinity. We welcome back the Cathedral Choir after their half-term break, and embark on the last half-term of Master of the Music Andrew Lucas. In this service they sing the mass to the setting Cantus Missae by Josef Rheinberger, with Bruckner's Tantum Ergo (in A flat) as the communion motet.

Fr Kevin, the Canon Chancellor, preaches at Choral Eucharist on Corpus Christi. We give a warm welcome and our thanks to the choir of St Albans Episcopal Church, Waco, Texas, who have been singing services for us this weekend. This morning they sing the mass to the setting in A minor by Darke, and the communion motet Ave Verum Corpus by Martin.
