Abbot's Kitchen Expand Abbot's Kitchen Café Open daily from 10am to 4pm. The café is a stone’s throw away from the nearby park, is the perfect place to enjoy tea after you visit the Cathedral or to enjoy lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Outside seating is also available when weather permits with a lovely view of the Norman Tower. Our philosophy of food is based on three principles; provenance, craft and quality. We create our food with imagination, love and with great attention to detail. Our food is a joy to eat, made with fresh seasonal ingredients, healthy and from sustainable sources. Parking The Cathedral is easily accessed via all forms of transport, but unfortunately visitor parking is not available. By Train St Albans City station [SAC] is just 20 minutes from London St Pancras International. It is a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral from the station. Taxis and buses are also available. St Albans Abbey Station [SAA] links St Albans with Watford Junction via the Abbey Line. It is a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral from this station. Taxis and buses are available. By Bicycle We have a newly installed bike rack for all to use, which has space for 10 bikes. By Car Close to the M1 (junction 6), A1(M) and M25 (junctions 21A and 22), St Albans is easily accessible from all parts of the UK. Unfortunately, visitor parking is not available at St Albans Cathedral. Details of the closest city centre car parks are available on the St Albans City and District Council website. There is very limited accessible parking available at the Cathedral. These spaces may be pre-booked by blue badge holders by calling 01727 890210. We require requests for parking are made no later than one working day in advance and are unable to make bookings for the same day. The Cathedral Office is open for bookings 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. By Air London Luton airport and Gatwick airport are directly linked to St Albans on the Bedford-Brighton railway route. Bus service 724 links St Albans directly with Heathrow airport.
