The Martyr's Garden

Meet Amie Bone

The Martyrs’ Garden is being led by internationally renowned floral designer Amie Bone, celebrated for creating deeply personal and immersive environments that transform spaces into unforgettable experiences. Working in close collaboration with St Albans Cathedral as part of the Alban150 celebrations, Amie and her creative team have developed a concept that balances grandeur with sensitivity, ensuring each installation feels both impactful and intrinsically connected to the cathedral’s rich heritage.

As Amie says, “I am in the business of bringing dreams to life,” and this vision is at the heart of the Martyrs’ Garden. Through extraordinary floral artistry, storytelling, and community collaboration, the project will create a meaningful and inspiring visitor experience.

Flower Guilds from across the Diocese of St Albans, alongside local community groups and schools, will play an integral role in bringing the designs to life within the Cathedral’s North and South Transepts, creating a collective expression of faith, creativity, and remembrance.
