This tour, led by an experienced Cathedral guide, is of the beautiful Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban including its 11c Norman tower. 

On this tour you will view the diverse Cathedral architecture as it evolves from Romanesque Norman through Gothic to modern day architecture, the stunning medieval wall paintings, shrines and ancient altar screens. 

You will also climb the only 11c Norman crossing tower left standing in the country and see Norman architecture and 1700 years old Roman bricks from which the tower was constructed. You will also visit the bell ringing chamber, the belfry and roof with its distance views of London.

This tour can last up to two hours and includes climbing 211 narrow winding steps.
