Many people visit to simply soak up the atmosphere and escape the noise of day to day life. Others choose to light a candle for something or someone close to them, say a prayer in one of our chapels or leave a message on our prayer board to be prayed by one of our clergy. However you choose to spend your time at the Cathedral, we hope it offers you the solace you need.

If you are not able to visit the Cathedral in person, you can send in your prayers to our clergy team below.

Your Prayer Requests

The Cathedral clergy continue to pray daily. If there is something on your mind that you would particularly like them to include in their prayers, click the Prayer Requests* button below.

Please do include your name if you would like to be prayed for personally.

Prayer Requests

All prayer requests will remain completely confidential.

Pastoral Care

St Albans Cathedral is a place of sanctuary for those who are going through difficult times and we respond to pastoral care requests with compassion. If you would like to speak to someone, there are often Day Chaplains on duty in the Cathedral who will be more than willing to listen to you and to pray with you if you would like. At other times it is possible to arrange an appointment to see a member of the Cathedral clergy.
