The Learning Department offers a variety of activities that it can teach you in your own school. Available on selected days throughout the year, these include Roman, RE and PSHE workshops. Each activity lasts for 60 minutes and can be tailored to suit your objectives and to fit in around the school timetable. We can also take assemblies too! 

Assemblies

We are happy to lead an assembly in your school on the story of St Alban. Suitable for Key Stage 1 or 2 and lasting for 20 minutes, the assembly is hosted by a Roman Soldier who retells the story of Alban with help from some of the children. For more details please contact us. 

Romans

In this interactive workshop, the children meet different characters from Roman Verulamium, including a Roman soldier, the town magistrate and a slave as they visit the Forum, the Basillica and the Temple. RE - What do Christians believe?

This workshop brings a church to life within the confines of your school. By thinking about different parts of the church, children learn about what Christians believe, including Baptism, Communion, Celebrations, Christmas and Easter. Why not use our wonderful Labyrinth to help your pupils explore the PSHE curriculum? Walking the Labyrinth is a reflective and peaceful journey, with activities along the way to encourage children to think about topics linked to your current PSHE theme.
