Our fantastic new Peace Exhibition curated by our wonderful Archives Team is now up in the Cathedral.

The Archives are the collective memory of the Cathedral, holding photographs and documents of the services held as a thanksgiving for the end of hostilities and which often called for peace. As we enter a new year, we invite you to reflect on this history of peace at the Cathedral with our latest display, which draws together a selection of articles and pictures from the 1860s to the 1990s. Alongside this remembrance of appeals to peace in the past, we are creating new memories, with the thoughts and prayers of a community surrounding St Albans Cathedral being captured in the stunning new art-installation of Peace Doves, as designed by Peter Walker Sculptor.

Thank you to The Archives for once again making the archives accessible to all who visit the Cathedral. If you would like to book a visit to the Archives, email: [email protected]
