The annual event which usually attracts up to 20,000 people to Verulamium Park, was reimagined this year and following a successful Crowdfunding campaign, a record £30,000 has been given to charity.

Last year’s event was a wash out, so the charities missed out, so to be able to donate a record amount in such a challenging year means a lot to the organising committee.

Hospice of St Francis have been given £11,000, at at time when they face their biggest reduction in income in their 40-year history. This donation means no patient will die alone and no carer will be left isolated this winter.

Youth Talk were also given £11,000 so they can continue to offer their vital service to young people across the District who need support with their mental health.

£8,000 was also donated to St Albans Cathedral's Covid Recovery fund.
