Last weekend saw over 1000 people join for our Christingle service, celebrating the light of Jesus coming to the whole world at Christmas. We were thrilled that the Christingles themselves had been made by a keen band of helpers – including a dozen Guides from our affiliated group, and 5 friends from our link Diocese of Linkoping.

The service itself was a particular joy, as Fr Calum reflected on the precious gift given to us at Christmas, and how the Christingle represented this.

A particular moment of light, when the sun emerged from behind the overcast sky was found when the light of Christ was proclaimed. Our thanks to all those who came to support, make Christingles, and donate oranges. A healthy collection was also gratefully received by the Children’s Society.
