Today we say goodbye to Stephen de Silva as Chair of the Cathedral Guides, and welcome Liz Fotheringham to the role.

Stephen de Silva said "Steering the Cathedral Guides Association through the "pandemic years" was an unexpected challenge. It's a privilege to lead a wonderful group of people who serve the Cathedral and tell its story. My successor, Liz, and I graduated together in the same degree ceremony (University of Exeter 1977) so it feels very apt to be handing on the reins to someone I have known for so long."

For Liz "It’s a huge privilege to be taking over from Stephen as Chair of the Cathedral Guides.  I am looking forward to continuing the sterling work that he has done to get what we offer ‘back to normal’ after Covid.  The guides are an amazing group of volunteers who have a huge fountain of knowledge, and who love being part of the Cathedral’s ministry of welcome through telling its story.

Thank you so much Stephen for your time and dedication to the Cathedral and Guides over the past three years, we are delighted the Guides will be in equally dedicated hands for the next three.
