On Friday evening, Fr Calum preached at Westminster Abbey for the annual requiem of Our Lady of Pew. This requiem is held each year in the Lady Chapel of the Abbey, where the Order of the Bath has its home, and was standing room only on Friday night. The commemoration of Our Lady of Pew is inspired by a medieval statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is now housed in Westminster Cathedral. There is a modern alabaster statue in a chapel on the north side of St Edward's Shrine and is a beautiful reminder of this historical and powerful devotion.
