Join us for this magnificent procession to celebrate Alban, Britain's first saint on Saturday 25 June.

 ~

Each year, 12ft carnival puppets, portraying characters from the story of Alban, march through the streets to re-enact the historic events leading up to Alban's execution. The puppets are accompanied by people of all ages, dressed as many characters, creating a spectacular display of colour and celebration.

Starting at St Peter's Church at 11am, the procession will move through the city centre and finish at the Cathedral, where everyone is invited to continue the celebrations at our Choral Eucharist and later at 4pm, Evensong.

On the day from 12noon until 5pm there will also be a Tudor Festival on the Orchard outside of the Cathedral, so come along and meet King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and play some Tudor games.
