Join us through the autumn term as we delve into the letters to the seven churches in Revelation. In our first session, we’ll set the letters in their apocalyptic context, and read some short sections of the visions of Daniel. We’ll finish the term by reading one other letter from the Septuagint, and two short Johannine letters. It’s a friendly group made up of people from a range of backgrounds, and we use a variety of pronunciations, so it would suit classicists and koine-speakers.

Join us to read and translate passages from the New Testament, with opportunities to discuss exegetical as well as linguistic issues. This group is best suited to those with intermediate level Ancient or New Testament Greek.

5 October: Revelation 2

2 November: Revelation 3

7 December: LXX 2 Maccabees 1:1-9; 2 John, 3 John
