1. Cathedral Box Office arrangements

The full terms and conditions apply to tickets sold through the Cathedral Box Office arrangements. These terms and conditions should be read prior to purchase, as purchase of a ticket means you accept all the terms and conditions.

2. Event organisers or promoters own box office arrangements

Tickets sold through the event organisers or promoters own box office arrangements, or by their third party providers, are subject to their own terms and conditions. This Clause does not affect the terms in Clauses 3f, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

3. Tickets

a. Tickets for sale, including at the Box Office just prior to the start of the performance, are subject to availability; prior booking is recommended.

b. You should check your ticket at the time of purchase and contact us immediately if there is a mistake.

c. We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost, stolen or destroyed.

d. If you lose or forget your tickets, we will reprint your tickets on the day of the performance for a charge of £1 per ticket, subject to proof of purchase/identity being provided.

e. Proof of identity or concession entitlement (for example student rate) may be required if you purchase a concession ticket.

f. If required we reserve the right to provide alternative seats at the same value of the purchased ticket.

g. The price of the ticket includes any applicable taxes and booking or collection fees.

4. Delivery and Collection at the Box Office

a. We reserve the right to make tickets available for collection at the Cathedral Box Office.

b. Tickets purchased over the phone will only be available for collection at the Box Office.

c. Tickets purchased online allow you to immediately print a Print@Home ticket from your computer. If you have no facilities to print a ticket, you can choose to collect from the Box Office.

d. Tickets will be available for collection from the Box Office during its normal opening hours 24 hours after purchasing by phone or online, or one hour prior to the start of the event.

e. You must have your debit or credit used to make the purchase with you at time of collecting tickets.

f. When collecting tickets from us in person no charge will apply.

g. We do not normally dispatch tickets by post, but if permitted, we reserve the right to charge a delivery fee. In the rare event that we deliver tickets this will be done by first class post and will be with you 3-5 days after purchasing.

5. Refunds and Exchanges

a. Once tickets have been paid for we are unable to provide a refund or exchange (the exception to this is at Sub clause 5c).

b. If you cannot attend a performance we are unable to refund or exchange your tickets.

c. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled by us or the promoter due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be entitled to a refund. Refunds must be claimed within 1 month from the date of the event. For tickets purchased through the promoter or their own box office arrangements see their terms and conditions.

d. We are unable to refund or exchange tickets booked as part of a discount package.

e. Any postage and/or card charges are non-refundable.

6. Cancellation

It is your responsibility to ascertain whether the event you have booked has been cancelled or rescheduled. (see also Refunds and Exchanges)

7. Maximum purchase of tickets

We reserve the right to restrict the maximum number of tickets purchased.

8. Conditions of admission

a. We reserve the right to refuse admission.

b. We reserve the right to request patrons to leave the premises.

c. You should retain your ticket as it may be required for re-admission.

d. You must comply with safety announcements and instructions given by the stewards.

e. Proof of identity or concession entitlement (for example student rate) may be required if you present a concession ticket.

f. Animals are not permitted within the venue, with the exception of assistance dogs.

g. You are not permitted to bring your own food or drink into the venue, unless advised otherwise.

h. All mobile phones, pagers and similar devices must be turned off during the performance.

i. The use of recording or photographic equipment of any description is strictly prohibited in the Cathedral

j. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a full paying adult; for ticket prices see event information. For events specifically designed for children see additional conditions.

9. Latecomers

If you are late for a performance we will seat you at the most suitable point in the performance. This may not be until the interval.

10. Wheelchair access

a. Spaces to accommodate a wheelchair user will be provided in each Price Band where practicable. The full cost of the normal seat price will be charged at the wheelchair user rate (adult or concession rate) and will include one free seat for an adult carer. A carer can opt to make a donation if they wish to pay for their seat.

b. Seats reserved for wheelchair users in Price Bands A and B that are not sold 5 working days before the performance will be made available for general sale. Wheelchair user spaces in Price Band D will remain available to book online right up to the performance. Wheelchair users can purchase tickets just prior to the performance but spaces are subject to availability; prior booking is recommended.

11. Accuracy

The information contained within the website and on printed media is correct at time of going to publication. St Albans Cathedral, or the event organiser, reserves the right to make alterations where necessary and is not liable for any subsequent omissions.
