Adopt a Pipe  >

Built in 1962, our magnificent Harrison & Harrison organ is at the heart of the Cathedral’s musical life.

Containing over 4,500 pipes, varying from half an inch to 32 feet, each pipe plays its part in producing the glorious mixture of sounds that the organ delivers every day in the Cathedral.

Be part of the Cathedral's musical heritage

Pipe adoption allows you to support the Music Trust in its aims to continue the ongoing restoration of the organ and protect the Cathedral’s music for future generations.

From just £25, you can adopt an organ pipe. This can be as a personal donation, as a gift for family or friends, or in memory of a loved one.

All adoptions include a dedication or gift message and you or your chosen recipient will receive a personalised adoption pack with a certificate and details of your adopted feature. Adoptions last a lifetime (100 years) and are recorded under the name of your choosing in our Archives in perpetuity.

Adoption levels range from £25 to £1000.

1ft-2ft pipe £25 | 2ft-4ft pipe £75| 8ft pipe or more £150-£1000
