Evensong attended by Volunteers of the Cathedral
Sat, 1 June 2019 at 4.00pm
Join us for a special Choral Evensong sung by visiting choir, the Renaissance Singers, to celebrate our Cathedral volunteers.
More than 600 volunteers work tirelessly in all areas of the Cathedral life, delivering a wonderful welcome to visitors, working with school children, delivering guided tours, providing crucial support to the clergy and Cathedral staff, and much, much more.
Everyone is welcome to this service, particularly our volunteers and their family and friends.
What is Choral Evensong?
Choral Evensong is a free service that provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time at the even point of the day, between the end of the working day and nighttime. The service features, music, readings and prayer and usually lasts around 40 minutes. All are welcome.
Can I become a volunteer?
Yes! We are always on the look out for new volunteers. Visit our Volunteers page for more information.
