St Albans Remembers

(c) Craig Shepheard

As we reach the centenary of the end of the war to end all wars, St Albans Cathedral is preparing to host a series of events throughout October and November marking the anniversary of the Armistice. These events are about not just looking back on the events of 100 years ago, but also about looking forward as we reflect on the theme of Remembrance in our worship, tours and exhibitions.

The flagship event in our St Albans Remembers programme is Poppy Field, a stunning light and sound installation created in partnership with Peter Walker, creative director at Lichfield Cathedral and Luxmuralis. This promises to be a moving experience as the Nave of the Cathedral will be filled with poppies and will feature projections tailored to St Albans Cathedral and its community.

In addition to the services and events below, there is also an extensive programme of events planned across the city. For more information about events taking place around St Albans, visit www.enjoystalbans.com
