Remembrance: Across the Bridge of Hope

On the eve of the Armistice Centenary, The Lea Singers of Harpenden present a dramatic and innovative programme for Remembrance, charting the world’s conflicts from Agincourt to the present day.

From the pomp and ceremony of soldiers marching en masse into battle in Ward Swingle’s Agincourt Song to a poignant letter written by a dying soldier to his family in the American Civil War, together with a new commission which weaves together English and German versions of Silent Night to tell the story of the famous Christmas Truce, this concert transforms the nave of the Lady Chapel into a stage to chart the human cost of war.

When selecting your seats please note the seats for this concert face into the aisle and do not face towards the stage.
