St Albans Abbey Parish & the First World War

St Albans Abbey Parish & the First World War

This commemorative exhibition reflects on St Albans Abbey parish in 1914. The display will explore the lives of those at the heart of the parish at the outbreak of war, the tragedies endured and the unique way in which the local community chose to remember those they had lost.

Visitors are invited to share experiences of the First World War within their own families, and there will also be a space for reflection and prayer.

Located in the North Transept.

This exhibition has been created with the kind assistance and research of St Albans and Hertfordshire Architectural and ArchaeologicalSociety. Find out more about their work
