Enjoy Afternoon tea and a tour of the Cathedral during St Albans Food Festival

As part of St Albans Food Festival, you can enjoy a fascinating tour of the Cathedral with one of our expert guides, followed by delicious teas and treats in the Abbot’s Kitchen.  Hear the story of Alban, Britain’s first saint, and visit his shrine; see stunning medieval wall paintings and marvel at architecture through the ages.  After your tour, relax in the Abbot’s Kitchen and choose between a sumptuous Cream Tea or Afternoon Tea.

Tour at 2.30pm; Tea at 3.30pm

Afternoon Tea - £9.95 (normal price £12.50) per person:

Unlimited re-fill of freshly brewed fair trade filter coffee or selection of teas

Pastry Chef’s freshly home-baked plain or fruity scone- Preserves and clotted cream - Assortment of finger sandwiches with luxury fillings.

 or

Cream Tea - £5.75 (normal price £8.50) per person:

Unlimited re-fill of freshly brewed fair trade filter coffee or selection of teas

Pastry Chef’s freshly home-baked plain or fruity scone - Preserves and clotted cream.

 

Date and Time: Available throughout the Festival except on Saturdays. Tour at 2.30pm; Tea at 3.30pm. Please see Terms & Conditions below.

-       The prices are inclusive of VAT;

-       The packages are subject to 3 days’ notice and are valid Sundays to Fridays (no Saturdays);

-       All the bookings have to be made via email - no phone bookings will be accepted;

-       Cancellation less than 3 working days before the booking will be charged at full price;

We require any special request/catering specification/allergies to be communicated at the time of booking.

Please ensure you tell your guide at the start of the tour that you have booked the 'Teas and Tours' package so they can direct you to the Abbot's Kitchen at the end of the tour.
