The Rose Window was disigned by Lord Grimhorpe in the late 1800s.
In 1989 it was reglazed with the colours we see today. The designer, Alan Younger, interpreted the concentric circles as the universe, with the earth at the centre and triangular areas of colour used to suggest the infusion of spirit into matter.
We have taken inspiration from the central area for the designs on our fine bone china range.
