Roman Festival 2019

Our ever popular Roman Festival will once again be running during September 2019. Last year, over 500 pupils from 11 different schools took part in a variety of activities, including Roman cooking, archaeology and artefact handling, learning about life in Roman Verulamium, and acting out the story of St Alban. Our resident Roman Legionnaire was also on hand to entertain and terrorise the pupils too! Booking opens in June, but if you wish to find out more at this stage then please do contact us. A super introduction to the Romans - thank you!

Year 6 Pilgrimage & Transition Days

Booking is now open for our Year 6 Pilgrimage & Transition Days, which take place in June and July 2019. These days give pupils making the transition from Primary to Secondary school the perfect opportunity to reflect on their educational journey so far, as well as looking ahead to what the future holds. Following the route of pilgrims through the ages, the pupils will walk from the site of Roman Verulamium to the Cathedral, learning the story of St Alban as they go, before finishing their journey at the Shrine. They will then take part in a reflective workshop before completing their day with a fun filled Silent Disco!

What a lovely day! Thank you to the Education Team for delivering the activities perfectly.
