There are four groups key to the organisation and governance of St Albans Cathedral
  • Chapter: The Chapter is the Administrative body of the Cathedral and has ultimate responsibility for its affairs. You can find out who is on Chapter here.
  • The College of Canons: The College of Canons consists of clergy and lay people from across the Diocese of St Albans. Their role is to key to the continued development of the Cathedral's strong relationship with the Diocese.
  • The Council: The Council supports the spiritual, pastoral, social and ecumenical work of the Cathedral, and advises Chapter on the direction and oversight of that work.
  • The Abbey Assembly: The Abbey Assembly coordinates the work of the parish and advises the Chapter on all matters affecting the parish and congregation.
Cathedral Annual Review and Report

Each year, the Cathedral releases a review and report of its events, activities and finances from the previous year. These are available to anyone who wishes to read them and can be downloaded below. Our 2018 review and report will be available in May.
