The Cathedral’s Office team provide administrative support to a number of different teams and individuals. The role of the full time Office Assistant therefore involves working in partnership with people throughout our Cathedral community, across staff departments and with volunteers, as well as engaging with people outside the Cathedral.

The full time Office Assistant works alongside a full time Office Manager, part time Diary Manager and two part time PA’s. The role reports to the Office Manager. The Cathedral Office is a small, friendly team and is at the heart of Cathedral life, supporting the entire Cathedral and its’ operation. This full time role is the first point of contact for general enquiries as well as supporting the production of much of the Cathedral printed literature such as service and notice sheets, maintaining the Cathedral contact database, supporting the Youth Chaplain and completing other general administrative duties.

The office is a busy work space and this role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload that covers a broad span of subject areas and contact with people across the Cathedral community including colleagues, clergy, volunteers and the general public.

This is a permanent position located in the Cathedral Office in a modern working environment within the Deanery. (There is no opportunity within this post for home working)
