Come and Sing with BBC Songs of Praise!

Fri, 19 February 2016

If you enjoy singing hymns, there’s a great opportunity this Easter. BBC’s Songs of Praise will be recording an evening of well-loved hymns, with popular and familiar tunes, in St Albans Cathedral on Easter Monday, 28th March, 7pm – 10pm.

BBC Producer Pamela Hossick said “All enthusiastic singers are welcome to join the congregation – whether you’re an experienced choir member or more often air your voice in the bath or in the back pew on Sunday mornings, Songs of Praise would like to hear from you”.

To add your voice to all those who have taken part in over half a century of hymn singing on television, the next step is to apply for your place in the Cathedral for the recording.

St Albans Cathedral Easter Sung Eucharist will also be broadcast live on BBC One on Easter Sunday 27th March.  If you’d like to attend, please be seated by 8.45 am.
