From exciting Tower Tours to Fun Family Trails, there are FREE events and exhibitions to suit the whole family on this special weekend.

Tower Tours

Saturday 25th: 10.00, 11.30, 13.00, 14.30

Sunday 26th: 13.30, 14.45, 16.00

This exciting tour takes you up 193 steps, winding through narrow, medieval staircases and passageways to the roof of the Norman Tower.

Numbers are limited to 12 people per tour. Tickets available from the CATHEDRAL BOOKSHOP on the day of the tour. Minimum age 11. Restrictions apply. The Cathedral reserves the right to refuse visitors admittance to the Tower and Roof spaces.

Fun Family Trail

Saturday 25th: 11.00 – 15.00

Sunday 26th: 13.00 – 15.30

Pick up a fascinating Family Trail from the Information Desk and follow a series of clues and fun activities around the Cathedral.

Matthew Paris Exhibition

Saturday 25th: 10.00 – 15.00

Visit the Cathedral Library and learn more about the famous English Chronicler, Matthew Paris.

Sunday 26th: 13.00 – 17.45

Visitors to the North Transept will have an opportunity to learn more about the history of Education in St Albans

Textiles Exhibition

See the exquisite work of the Cathedral’s Textile Guild. Textile displays throughout the weekend.
