Hope in a Post-Truth World
Mon, 4 December 2017
The editors of the Oxford English Dictionary have nominated 'post-truth' are the current 'word of the year', summarising something about the contemporary scene. In his second lecture on 'faith, hope, and love in a post-truth world', Andrew Davison, our Canon Philosopher, will consider what it means to live hopefully in such unhopeful circumstances. Christian hope, he will argue, needs to be truthful twice over, being clear-sighted about the world to which God calls us, and clear-sighted about the way the world currently is.
