Hiding in Plain Sight: The Theology of Esther and Purim
Mon, 19 February 2018
A talk about the Jewish festival of Purim, which re-enacts the story of the biblical Book of Esther, and the unlikely theology shared between the two. Arguably, Esther is one of the most applicable works to modern Jewish theology despite (or maybe due to) the fact that God isn't mentioned once. God's behind-the-scenes persona and Purim's nothing-as-it-seems practice all draw from this mysterious and magnificent book.
