Creativity and Conflict

Sat, 17 November 2018

Focusing on the western tradition of art from the earliest surviving works to the present day, this study day will examine the way in which visual art has represented war and reacted to it. The day will focus on the work of major artists from various historical periods and then explore the ways in which the total war of the twentieth century than painting and sculpture: it aims to offer an insight into the culture and society in which we live today.
