Hebrew Old Testament Study Group
Dates: 17 October and 5 December
Cost: £10 per session (payable on the night)
This study group is for those who want an opportunity to read passages from the Old Testament in Hebrew, with the assistance of a teacher. In a 1h45 session students will have the chance to elucidate the meaning of the Hebrew, with aid, and contribute to an exegetical analysis of the chosen passage. Texts can be circulated in advance, and students are encouraged to prepare, though they will not be expected to read without assistance. The group is open to all who want to improve their Hebrew and their reading of scripture, but may be particularly relevant to clergy and readers.
Texts: Ruth 4 (October) and Isaiah 40: 1-17 (December). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the text if you require one.
Tutor: The Rev'd Dr Kevin Walton, Canon Chancellor
Venue: The Deanery, St Albans Cathedral
