Learning at St Albans Cathedral
Learning is central to both the history and mission of St Albans Cathedral. Historically, the Abbey’s Benedictine tradition held education as one of its core values, and in the medieval period St Albans was a centre of learning to rival Oxford and Cambridge. In the present day, the Cathedral aspires to remain a rich environment for learning and heritage for all, through the work of its Education Centre, Study Centre, and Library.
