For further details, please download the recruitment pack below Recruitment Pack Application Form Alban Fest Volunteer St Albans Cathedral is looking for personable and confident volunteers to assist them at this year’s Alban Fest! on Saturday 22nd June 2019. This is an opportunity to be involved in a really exciting, brand new event, and to help make it an enjoyable and memorable experience for the public of St Albans city! Alban Fest!, a free festival taking place on the Abbey Orchard, St Albans, is part of the 10 day Roman themed festival celebrating our city’s namesake and the world in which Alban lived. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of our Alban, Britain’s First Saint project, the Festival will run from Friday 21 – Sunday 30 June 2019 and will mark the opening of the Cathedral’s new Welcome Centre, exhibition spaces and activity programme. The voluntary hours needed for Alban Fest will be 12-6pm in the afternoon, however, additional hours between 9am and 12pm would also be appreciated for set-up. Duties on the day will include, greeting the public, providing general information at the information tent and/or around the Orchard, collecting feedback from the public, helping set up stalls, and liaising with stall owners and providing them with any assistance they may require. A free t-shirt and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers on the day!
