For many, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit is a source of uncertainty and confusion.

Whilst we often speak about the person and work of Christ and his relationship to the Father, we are often less confident concerning the third person of the Trinity. This course aims to provide language, concepts, and frameworks for thinking and speaking about the Holy Spirit. We will consider scriptural characterisations of the Spirit, debates and discussions throughout the theological tradition about the Spirit’s person and work, and ways in which we might know and experience the Spirit in our contexts and worshiping communities.

This course can be taken as part of the Certificate in Theology and Certificate in Theology Plus. All sessions will be recorded and made available to students to watch through the next week, allowing students to catch up on sessions missed or re-watch classes.
