Join Rev'd Dr Stephen Heap on Thursday 11 November at 7.30pm for a talk which will consider what place religion has in contemporary society and what futures there might be for it, drawing on classic secularisation theory and ideas about what it means to be a secular, de-secularised or post-secular society.

This talk is being held online via Zoom.  If you’d like to attend the event but are not free to join us live, please do buy a ticket and you’ll receive a link to the recording on the day of the event.

About Rev'd Dr Stephen Heap

Stephen is  a Baptist Minister and Emeritus Professor of Theology at the University of Winchester. He spent much of his ministry in university chaplaincy and was the Church of England’s National Higher Education Adviser. Both roles, and his work at University of Winchester, involved thinking about and working with religion and its interface with the wider community. In semi—retirement, he continues to work on issues to do with religion in society at local and national levels, on higher education policy and to lead worship in a variety of churches
