St Albans Cathedral is the perfect destination for the whole family – whatever the weather and the school holidays are the perfect time to go exploring! Bursting with history, children can enjoy exploring the longest nave in England, learning about Saint Alban and even spotting the Roman bricks the Normans used to build this great church.

Visit the exhibition area for a chance to dress up as a king, bishop or Roman soldier, play with interactive screens to go ‘behind the scenes’ and have a go at brass rubbing.  Or pick up one of our Young Explorer Guides. These fun do it yourself adventure trails are the perfect way to explore the Cathedral and see some amazing things on the way round. You can also borrow one of our Young Explorer Backpacks complete with binoculars, magnifying glasses and more to help our Young Explorers.

All this and more is available everyday throughout the summer holidays, plus we will also be running FREE themed Family Discovery Mornings every Thursday in the school holidays.
