Produced by Fantastic Fireworks, this year's display will be accompanied by music from the Bond films.

This amazing public display was started over 30 years ago in order to reduce firework accidents at home. It has raised over £800,000 for local and national charities. This year’s nominated charities are Age UK Hertfordshire, Highfield Park Trust, and Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline, as well as St Albans Cathedral.

Safety and Covid
  • No sparklers or other personal fireworks are allowed in the display area.
  • This event takes place in the dark in a large open space near open water. Hold on to small children.
  • You may find it helpful to bring a torch.
  • We encourage social distancing. There is plenty of space inside the park, please use all of the space, the view is good everywhere.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available.
  • Please remember that this is a volunteer run event, please treat everyone with respect.
  • Have fun and stay safe.
Access and Disabled Viewing

There are many entry points in to the event in Verulamium Park. A map will be released nearer the time.

Please do not bring large bags with you as these will be subject to search which may delay you and inconvenience others.

There is a disabled viewing area accessible over grass from Gate 3 (map will be released nearer the time). There is another disabled viewing area accessible by made up paths on the bridge over the lake. There is very limited disabled parking available in the car park at the Verulamium Museum.

Park Wildlife

The RSPB has advised that: "There is no evidence of any lasting harm caused to any bird at the park as a result of the display. This view is borne out by the fact that the wildlife has never deserted the area and indeed within minutes of the display ending, ducks, geese and swans are evident in the area consuming food left by spectators."
