On Sunday 8th September at 3pm Marko Sever, Organ Scholar, gives a free recital at St Albans Cathedral.

All are welcome; the recital will last around 60 minutes and admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of Cathedral music funds.

Marko Sever completed postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied the organ on scholarship under Gerard Brooks, winning prizes in organ playing, and academia. Having previously held positions at the London Oratory and All Saints Margaret Street, he is currently Organ Scholar at St Albans Cathedral, where he enjoys experiencing the day-to-day life of a busy Cathedral environment. Prior to moving to London in 2016, he was Organ Scholar of St James’ King Street in Sydney, while undertaking organ studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Philip Swanton, from whom he learnt for over 10 years. Since moving to London, he has given organ recitals throughout the city, including at Westminster Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St George’s Hanover Square, the Royal Festival Hall, and St Lawrence Jewry. Marko is a prizewinning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, having received the Harding and Durrant Prizes for highest marks in paperwork.
