What's on Talks Medieval Manuscripts at St Albans Abbey A Joint talk with St Albans Museum Christopher de Hamel, expert in medieval manuscripts, joins us for a talk exploring the riches of the manuscripts created and kept by medieval St Albans Abbey. Many found their way into the collection of Matthew Parker, Archbishop of Canterbury 1559-1575 and noted collector of early English manuscripts, and feature in the exhibitions this summer at St Albans Cathedral and St Albans Museum + Gallery. As former Fellow Librarian of the Parker Library at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, Christopher de Hamel has a wealth of knowledge to share from first-hand experience of looking after these manuscripts in particular, and of the story of the medieval manuscripts of St Albans Abbey in general.
