Explore the history of the Church in this 10-week introductory course.

Drawing upon some of the key events and movements that have shaped the Church of England, this course offers a broad and accessible overview of the history of the Christian Church. The course will begin by looking at the story of Pentecost in the Act of Apostles and will follow a chronological  approach right through to the church in the present day. From the growth of monasticism through to the Crusades, Reformation and English Civil War, the ten teaching sessions will draw upon primary sources and group discussions to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how our modern church has been formed.
