In association with the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, the Holocaust Educational Trust and the Wiener Library (three of Britain’s leading organisations working in Holocaust and genocide remembrance and commemoration), St Albans Cathedral will be hosting four Holocaust Memorial Day events in memory of the victims of holocaust throughout the world.    

Ideal for Key Stage 3 and 4, the event will include a carousel of workshops exploring the questions/themes: what is Holocaust Memorial Day; pre-Nazi era Jewish life in Europe; spiritual and cultural resistance to the Holocaust

This will be followed by a talk and a Q&A with a Holocaust Survivor, before finishing with a collective act of remembrance.

Schools may bring up to 100 students to each session.    

When:     Tuesday 30th January and Wednesday 31st January 

Time:      10am to 12.15pm and 1pm to 3.15pm
