We are delighted to be welcoming Professor Tim Boatswain back to St Albans Cathedral for this talk exploring the origins and development of Early Christian Art.

Join us on Thursday 27th January, 7.30 - 9pm as we explore how early Christian art was shaped and influenced by existing pagan iconography. Considering Christian art from its beginnings through until the Triumph of Christianity in the Fourth Century, this talk will aim to show how pagan images were transformed and adapted to adhere to a Christian vision.

This talk is being held in the Alban Room at St Albans Cathedral and online via Zoom.  If you’d like to attend the event but are not free to join us live, please do buy a ticket and you’ll receive a link to the recording the day after the event.
