The Cathedral and Abbey Church of Saint Alban
Any visitor to St Albans will be surprised to find that among the staff are ecumenical chaplains, and listed among its acts of worship are services of other Christian denominations.

Any visitor to St Albans may be surprised to find that among the staff are ecumenical chaplains, and listed among its acts of worship are services of other Christian denominations.
This reflects the pioneering record which the Cathedral has for ecumenical practice, and springs from our vision for welcome as well as the imperative for all Christians to actively seek unity.
St Alban himself also takes us back to a common tradition before the divisions within the Christian church.
Mass is celebrated by a Roman Catholic priest every Friday at 12noon
