Watercolours Workshop

Tue, 19 August 2014

As part of St Albans Cathedral's First World War commemorations in the centenary year, young visitors are invited to join the Education Centre over the summer holidays for these specialist workshops to learn more about this important event. Each workshop will have a topical focus with an arts and crafts basis, and lasts for 2 hours.

Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 27th August

Workshops at 10.30 & 13.30, lasting 2 hours.

Using the Michael Foreman storybook ‘War Games’ as inspiration, children will have the chance to learn about friendship/comradeship in the First World War and the infamous Christmas Day football match, before creating their own watercolours based on the illustrations from the story.
