Summer Holiday Workshop: War Horse Puppets

As part of St Albans Cathedral's First World War commemorations in the centenary year, young visitors are invited to join the Education Centre over the summer holidays for these specialist workshops to learn more about this important event. Each workshop will have a topical focus with an arts and crafts basis, and lasts for 2 hours.

War Horse Puppets Workshop

Tuesday 12th & Tuesday 26th August

10.30am & 1.30pm

The puppetry used in the stage show ‘War Horse’ is world famous – and in this workshop children will have a chance to create their own version. They will also learn about the roles of animals in the First World War, and see how these inspired the ‘War Horse’ story.

Suitable for ages 7-11. Located in the Cathedral Crypt. Duration - 2 hours.
