Gift Shop @ The Cathedral

The most convenient entrance to the Gift Shop at the Cathedral is through the Chapter House or through the Slype door entering from Sumpter Yard. Although small it is stocked with a new wide range of products.

There are gifts for special occasions, birthday, baptism, weddings, plus general giftware to suit all tastes and pockets. A range of Alban specific items ensures you have a souvenir through which you can remember your visit. We are pleased to promote local photographers and artists which means that our selection of pictures changes regularly The locally produced honey is a real treat at teatime. There is a wide range of CDs including recordings by the Cathedral Choir & Abbey Girls Choir.

All profits generated from this enterprise are used to help maintain the ministry and fabric of St Albans Cathedral.

The Bookshop

In the South Transept of the Cathedral is the Bookshop which features a great range of general greetings cards, special occasion cards and postcards. A superb collection of children’s books sits alongside general titles by our clergy and local authors. There is also a special discount table full of various publications.
