Bestselling author Melvyn Bragg will be at St Albans Cathedral on 27th May to discuss his latest work on the impact of the King James Bible.

2011 is the 400th anniversary of the The King James Bible.  It is both the standard scriptural text and, for centuries, the bestselling book in the English-speaking world.

The event forms a part of Melvyn Bragg's Cathedral Tours to launch his latest work 'The Book of Books', published by Hodder & Stoughton.  Bragg reveals the political, linguistic, and religious influences the Bible has had throughout the centuries and provides the definitive history of one of the most influential books in the history of the world.

Tickets are available from the Cathedral Bookshop and Waterstone's, St Albans, priced £5.  The talk starts at 7pm in the Lady Chapel of St Albans Cathedral, and will be followed by a book signing.
